Why I Got My Tattoo

So as many of my friends and family now know (if not then SURPRISE MOM AND DAD!) I have invested in my first round of ink. When I was younger I never thought I would get a tattoo. I never thought there could be a symbol, image, or text that I would want permanently on my body; I truly believe that tattoo should carry a deep, personal meaning and not be a decision made lightly.

It seems to follow that in every attempt at meaningful and informative discourse with a person of opposing beliefs, both parties will attempt to use data, statistics, graphs, and other empirical, scientific conclusions to justify their personal beliefs or any policy action that they might endorse. Specifically, we see this method of arguing involved in the stalling (I say stalling; it’ll be back, just wait) of the Penokee Mine in Ashland county. I suppose the most interesting part of these discussions is the point in which both parties refuse to agree with the other’s data and statistics due to some inexplicable discontinuity or nonconformity with the data or statistics that they are acquainted with. It often seems at times that the liberal and conservative think tanks aim only to publish opposing data and statistics, resulting in the final bamboozlement of our citizenry. What I Am Doing With My Tax Refund

Let me start by saying no one likes paying taxes. Receiving pay stubs and seeing social security and Medicare taken out of our hard earned money is brutal. Thankfully, I am a poor college student with only part-time income. Thanks to our tax code I ended up with a small refund.
